Biotium Fura-2, Pentapotassium Salt
Fura-2, pentaammonium salt is a ratiometric fluorescent dye that binds to free intracellular calcium. It is membrane-impermeant and may be loaded into cells via microinjection or scrape loading. A major use of Fura-2 is in drug discovery, for measuring intracellular calcium mobilization after activation of G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and calcium channels. Biotium LysoView™ 633, 10 vials
LysoView™ dyes are fluorescent stains for imaging lysosome localization and morphology in live cells. The dyes accumulate in the low pH environment of the lysosomes, resulting in highly specific lysosomal staining without the need for a wash step. Far-red fluorescent LysoView™ 633 exhibits pH-sensitive fluorescence (Ex/Em 634/659 nm at pH ≤5), further enhancing the specificity of staining.
Biotium Tyramide Amplification Kit with HRP Streptavidin and Biotin-XX Tyramide
Tyramide amplification, sometimes called Catalyzed Reporter Deposition (CARD), is an enzyme-mediated detection method that uses the catalytic activity of horseradish peroxidase (HRP) to generate high density labeling of a target protein or nucleic acid sequence in situ. The tyramide amplification method has been reported to increase the sensitivity by up to 100-fold compared to the conventional avidin-biotinylated complex procedure. The kit contains HRP streptavidin Biotin-XX tyramide. The kit contains sufficient reagent for 50-150 slides.

Biotium Human Transferrin, CF488A Conjugate, 1 mg
Transferrin is a glycoprotein that binds iron for delivery to vertebrate cells through receptor-mediated endocytosis. After binding to its receptor on the cell surface, transferrin is rapidly internalized by invagination of clathrin-coated pits with formation of endocytic vesicles, the acidic environment favors dissociation of iron from the transferrin-receptor complex. Following the release of iron, the apotransferrin is recycled to the plasma membrane where it is released from its receptor to scavenge more iron. Fluorescent conjugates of human transferrin can be used as tracers for investigation of endocytosis by microscopy. This product is prepared by labeling highly cross-adsorbed goat anti-rabbit IgG (H+L) with CF660C dye. CF dyes are Biotium's line of next-generation fluorescent dyes with advantages in brightness, photostability, and conjugate specificity compared to other fluorescent dyes. Far-red fluorescent CF660C dye has excitation/emission at 667/685 nm. To minimize cross-reactivity, the antibody has been adsorbed against human, mouse, and rat serum. Single label antibodies have an average of one dye molecule per antibody molecule, which is reported to be optimal for super-resolution imaging by STORM.
